We'll prove it
Affect Art runs live drawing and painting classes for complete beginners — kids from age 10, teenagers, and adults picking up a pencil for the first time in twenty years. Five days a week, taught step by step, with every artwork reviewed by a real mentor.

Who it's for
One class, three kinds of
beginner
Kids and adults learn side by side in the same live session. The exercises are the same — the encouragement is what changes.
Curious kids, 10+
They already doodle in the margins of every notebook. Here they learn to hold a pencil properly, see shape before detail, and finish something they're proud to put on a wall.
ages 10–15
Adults starting from zero
You've never drawn anything since school and you're convinced you can't. Good — that's the easiest place to teach from. Week one is a straight line. Week eight is a portrait.
no talent required
Hobbyists coming back
You used to sketch, then life happened. The sketchbook is somewhere in a drawer. Come back with structure, a weekly rhythm, and someone actually looking at your work.

What you'll learn
Six mediums.
One at a time, properly.
Nothing is rushed. Each medium gets its own run of classes, starting with the way it
behaves on paper and ending with a finished piece you keep.
01
Pencil & Sketching
Line control, proportion, negative space and the difference between drawing what you see and drawing what you assume. The foundation everything else sits on.
02
Charcoal & Shading
Light, shadow, edges and depth. Charcoal is messy and forgiving, which makes it the fastest way to understand tone — and the fastest way to a portrait that looks real.
03
Watercolour
Washes, wet-on-wet, blooms and knowing when to stop. You learn to work with the water instead of fighting it — skies, landscapes, loose florals.
04
Acrylic Painting
Colour mixing from a limited palette, brush handling, layering and texture. Bold, quick-drying and the friendliest paint there is for a first canvas.
05
Oil & Soft Pastel
Blending with your fingers, building colour in layers, and the loose expressive marks pastel is made for. The medium students say feels the most like play.
06
Colour Pencil
Burnishing, layering and patience. The most portable medium and the one that teaches control better than any other — realistic skin, fur, fabric and light.

How it runs
A real class.
Not a folder of videos.
You show up, you draw along, you get told what to fix. That’s the whole method — and it’s why beginners actually finish.

1
Five live classes a week
Monday to Friday at 5:30 PM IST. Join from any timezone — every session is recorded the moment it ends.
2
Draw along, don't just watch
Each class is a guided exercise you complete on the call. You leave the session with something finished, not with homework.
3
Your artwork gets reviewed
Post your piece in the class group and a mentor tells you exactly what worked and what to change next time. This is the part that makes people improve.
4
Taught in English and Hindi
Bilingual sessions, so a ten-year-old and their parent can sit through the same class and both follow it.
5
Recordings you keep
Miss a class, rewatch a technique, catch up on a whole medium. Every recording stays available for as long as you're a member.
Start with a pencil.
Buy the rest later.
You do not need a studio. Week one needs paper, an HB pencil and an eraser — that’s it. Before each new medium begins you get a short supply list with budget options, so nothing is bought before it’s needed.

Rajat Verma
Founder, Affect Art
Rajat started Affect Art on one stubborn idea: that art education is priced like a luxury when it should cost about as much as a cup of coffee. He has taught over 15,000 learners, and more than 77,000 aspiring artists follow his work.
His classes are built for the person who has already decided they’re bad at drawing. No theory lectures, no talent talk — just a sequence of small exercises that quietly turn into skill, with someone checking your work the whole way through.
“I’ve never met a student who couldn’t draw. I’ve met plenty who were never shown how.”

Why it works
Six reasons beginners
actually stay
It starts genuinely from zero
The first class assumes you have never drawn a straight line on purpose. Nothing is skipped over as obvious.
A fixed weekly rhythm
Same time, five days a week. Habit does more for a beginner than motivation ever will.
Someone looks at your work
Real feedback on your actual drawing, not a generic checklist. This is the difference between a course and a class.
Variety without chaos
Six mediums over the year, one at a time. Enough change to stay interested, enough repetition to get good.
A class group, not an inbox
Ask a question mid-week and get an answer. Watch what everyone else made. It's the closest thing to a studio, online.
Cheap enough to just try
A month costs less than a sandwich. Nobody has to be sure before they start — which is exactly the point.

What students say
★★★★★
I signed up thinking I'd watch a few classes and quietly give up. Eight weeks later there's a charcoal portrait on my kitchen wall that I drew. The step-by-step pace is what did it.
Meera S.
adult beginner
★★★★★
My daughter is eleven and she has not missed a single class. She sets up her paper before the session starts. Getting her artwork reviewed each week is the part she waits for.
Anjali R.
parent
★★★★★
I'd stopped drawing for nearly fifteen years. Having a fixed class time five days a week put me back in the habit faster than any amount of good intentions.

Questions
Before you enrol
Who can join?
Anyone aged 10 and above — children, teenagers and adults. There is no upper age limit and no prior experience needed. If you can hold a pencil, you can start on day one.
I've genuinely never drawn anything. Is this too advanced?
No. The whole class is built for absolute beginners. We start with basic lines, shapes and how to see proportion, then build up slowly. Every medium restarts from its own basics, so you never arrive mid-conversation.
What are the class timings, and what if I'm in another timezone?
Live classes run Monday to Friday at 5:30 PM IST. If that doesn’t fit your day, every session is recorded and posted straight after, and you can still send your artwork for review in the class group.
What supplies do I need to buy?
To begin: paper, an HB pencil and an eraser. Before each new medium starts you’ll get a short supply list in the class group with affordable options. Materials are not included in the fee.
Will my artwork actually get feedback?
Yes. Post a photo of your piece in the class group and a mentor reviews it — what’s working, what to correct, what to try next. This is the core of the class, not an add-on.
What language are the classes taught in?
Both English and Hindi. Instructions are given in English with Hindi explanations alongside, so mixed-age and mixed-language households can follow the same session.
How do I get access after I enrol?
Hit Enrol Now, pick your membership and complete payment — the class group link is then sent to you on WhatsApp. If you’ve already paid and haven’t been added within 12 hours, message +91 88104 16762 with your payment screenshot.
Can I cancel?
The monthly membership can be cancelled at any time before it renews. The three-month membership is a single payment and simply ends when the term does — nothing is charged automatically after it.
